One Week Already!
Dear Members,

It has been a week already since we reopened. I hope you are all enjoying being able to exercise in the gym again. This is a bit of an update since we reopened. 

Hand Sanitising

As part of our obligations for reopening, all members are required to sanitise their hands upon entry. Everyone was diligent with this for the first few days. Disturbingly as the week progressed, about 2 in every 5 members entering the club, had to be reminded.
We MUST all work together with these COVID-19 requirements. Please stop thinking about 'what exercise you are going to do first', 'my class is about to start', 'I've got coffee and my phone in my hands' etc etc as you come up the stairs. PLEASE SANITISE YOUR HANDS AT THE LEVEL 1 ENTRY!

Group Exercise Bookings

Thank you for using our new booking system for classes. A few small issues we would like to help you with when using the booking system:

  • Please wait for your confirmation email before booking for the same class again. We are finding some members have double and triple booked for the same class which makes it difficult for other members to book in.

  • Please do not book too far ahead. A few of you have blanket booked for the next few weeks. You have now changed your mind and we are having to spend valuable time cancelling all your bookings.

  • Please check the 'when' title on your booking confirmation. Some members have had the misfortune of turning up for a class only to find it was next week's class they actually booked for.

  • If you need to cancel your class, please do so during staffed hours. Contrary to popular belief, the team doesn't work 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you notify us out of staffed hours, there's no-one here to process your request. Cancellations can be made via email, facebook or phone. 

 

Social Distancing

  • Although it is great to see your friends, please remember to social distance when in the club.

  • Our changerooms are a challenge with social distancing: 

    • Please be aware of how many people are in the changerooms

    • Try to avoid bringing a bag so you don't need a locker

 

New Floor

This Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June, we are excited to announce a new floor will be fitted in the Spin/Stretch Room. 

  • This will cause some disruption, which I would like to apologise now for. 

    • From Thursday 25th to Monday the 29th, the Spin/Stretch Room, NewFit Functional Room and the Wilson St end of the Main Group Exercise Room (cardio space) will be unavailable for training. The spaces will be taped off.  

    • FOR SAFETY REASONS, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THESE SPACES.

  • If you are using the Cardio Area there will be workers taking the old carpet and bringing the new floor through this area.

  • Our scheduled classes will go ahead as usual.

 

COVID-19

  • If you find out you have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19, and have been to the gym, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • Please do not come to the gym if you are sick.
